Crickhowell is well known for its independent shops & businesses. But there’s also something going on that you may not have realised. Like most small towns, there is a vibrant ‘local circular economy’. This is where many of the businesses buy from each other and support each other.  Therefore, the money circulates round and round. The New Economics Foundation did a study that found out “£10 spent in a local shop or business is worth up to £50 into the local economy”. So when you buy from one local shop, you help to support many others in the town.

If this is a bit hard to get your head around, this little video by White No Sugar Productions & Emma Ossenton will help you.
